Gina enjoys learning about the history of swing era music by way of the fine art of DJing. Gina has an ever-expanding collection of jazz music comprised mainly of songs from the classic swing era of the 20′s, 30′s, and 40′s, including contemporary renditions by modern-day musicians. As a longtime dancer herself, Gina understands the kind of music that dancers want to hear. Gina has been DJing regularly since 2006.
DJ Bio
Gina digs the old school jams. Especially instrumental ones. With clarinet. But aside from that, she likes to play whatever she thinks will keep people dancing and happy. Gina draws from both the time-tested, dancer-approved favorites of the 30′s & 40′s as well as contemporary swing bands who are keeping the tradition alive. She also likes to throw in lesser-known gems from the 20′s and the occasional Motown soul number.
